About me

I am a Licensed Therapist with over 7+ years of experience working with diverse individuals and groups of all ages including children, families, parents and adults. I have experience working with a variety of different life issues from grief/loss to maternal mental health, but have primarily worked with clients, in particular children and young adults who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I believe building a safe and strong therapeutic relationship centered on empathy and compassion sets the foundation where real healing and growth can take place. I primarily approach therapy from a Client-Centered perspective and Collaborative approach, however, I utilize and incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques based on what would best benefit clients' and their therapeutic needs. I always strive to work collaboratively with clients and parents to meet therapy goals and expectations and believe in open communication. I often incorporate interactive therapy activities and art into sessions, especially in my work with children and adolescents. I am passionate about my work in the mental health field with an ultimate goal of instilling hope and helping clients and families feel empowered to accomplish mental health and wellness. Heal. Grow. Thrive.

About me

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 17 years of experience in education and mental health, I've dedicated my career to supporting children, adolescents, and families through various life challenges. My journey began as an educator, where I discovered my passion for helping students navigate behavioral and emotional hurdles. This led me to expand my expertise into counseling, working with children from immigrant families, young adults transitioning out of foster care, and students in school settings. I specialize in areas like ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and school-related issues, and I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I believe in creating a warm, encouraging, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to develop coping skills, build self-esteem, and achieve their goals. I'm committed to providing compassionate and effective support to individuals and families seeking positive change. I am especially passionate about working with children, and employ a solution-focused approach to therapy.

About me

I did not get here by accident. All the experiences in life, support from so many people, hurts, heartaches, and blessings have made me who I am today. As a kid I was very shy. I would sit back and just watch others. Being shy in my younger years has helped me become a good listener and have great empathy for others. Throughout my life I have seen hurt, but I have also seen healing. As a licensed therapist I want to understand your hurt and walk with you using evidence-based practices to provide healing. You do not have to feel isolated and alone with your struggles. I would love to have the opportunity to work with you and hear your unique story.
